“LE CODE DU COFFRE” Compilation of Street Sticking Intervention

“LE CODE DU COFFRE” Compilation of Street Sticking Intervention is old archives of differents artistic intervention created with Xelecce in 2006 in Cambrai Fine Arts School. I decided to engage with urban space, specifically walls and flat surfaces, by interpreting them as sheets of paper. To do this, I chose to depict the dog-eared corner of a book or a page about to be turned. This resulted in subtle interventions where only the corner and what lies beneath it was added to the wall. Depending on the context, the underlying layer might reveal a mechanism of gears and screws, the opening chapter of a book, or festive wrapping paper. Above all, the concept aims to prompt the viewer to wonder about what lies underneath, concealed by a rough “skin” (the wall) that is ready to be peeled back by the imagination.
